Regency Calf Dark Brown Snuff / 9.5 / 4mm Comfortable out of the box! I love the color, and the 4mm heel makes it look like a traditional dress shoe. The leather takes a cream polish very well.
Very comfortable! Need the wide toe box for a bad toe (bunion) and not many good looking dress shoes out there with this feature. These look pretty good even with the 4mm heel! I’m going to get a second pair that will be monk straps and traditional heel for my suits.
Finally! I am so excited to find Free Form Shoes. I've been a barefoot enthusiast for years, and my work requires some degree of sartorial excellence. Finding high-quality dress shoes has been a struggle. Until recently there was nothing available except clown shoes with the worst possible leather imaginable. While I have been waiting for shoes of this caliber to come to market for quite a while, I have tried most of the other brands available. Carets are ok, but the leather is not great at all (undoubtedly split), and the toes are a bit too narrow. The sole is also just glued on, not Goodyear welted. Birchbury is nice, just nice, but again, the leather is not heirloom quality like my new Free Form Oxfords. I anticipate these will last decades and be resoled many times. I was lucky to find a 9.5 in this beautiful chestnut leather. These are the high quality dress shoes I have been waiting for! I will be ordering some MTO Monkstraps and Wingtips soon. I give my black oxfords three stars because of fit. That’s all. They have beautiful leather, and wonderful craftsmanship that the foot-shaped shoe world has been deprived of. Unfortunately I have skinny, narrow, feet, heels and ankles. My suggestion is if you have the like, then size down a full size. You’ll still have plenty of toe room but I’ve needed to buy a tongue space and a heel space for my foot not to slosh around. The added length for the elongated toe takes some getting used to but that is the price we pay for elegance. I believe in Freeform and hope to see it grow and begin to cater better to people of don’t feet.
Didn't think it would be possible to find barefoot-style Oxfords that feel comfortable, look good, and are well-crafted and resoleable, but this checks all the boxes. Excellent for formal events, with no discomfort.
